Our Venue Policies

MISSY LANE’S TICKETING POLICY

Missy Lane’s requires that all event attendees possess a ticket. Those attendees without a ticket may be asked to leave the premises. This decision is made solely at the discretion of Missy Lane’s. Missy Lane’s is not responsible for any refunds, expenses, or costs incurred by an attendee who is asked to leave.

Attendees under 21 must either have a valid college ID or if not in college must be accompanied by a guardian. Attendees without a valid college ID or guardian, may be asked to leave the premises. This decision is made solely at the discretion of Missy Lane’s. Missy Lane’s is not responsible for any refunds, expenses, or costs incurred by an attendee who is asked to leave.

This policy is subject to change.

Guests are allowed into our showroom up until 15 minutes after the show begins. We stop seating 15 minutes into the show due to the disruption caused to the performers and other audience members. No exceptions, no refunds.

MISSY LANE’S VIP BOOTH AND SEATING POLICY

 

 

VIP Booth seats four and includes a $100 food & beverage credit. Gratuity not included and is to be paid the night of the event. VIP Booths provide a premium service experience.

Seating Reserved Area is host-assisted seating. Those that arrive first will be seated in arrival order. Please arrive early for the best seating options. Your entire party must arrive before seating

The Standing Room area does not include seating.

 

MISSY LANE’S VIDEO AND PHOTO POLICY, RELEASE & CONSENT

 

Your use of a ticket or presence at Missy Lane’s constitutes your consent to appear in photographs, videos, and the like (“Material”) taken in the public areas of Missy Lane’s and to grant the necessary rights to effectuate this policy. You agree that you have no ownership of the Material and that the Material may be registered with the US Copyright Office or any other necessary entity in the name of the owner in order for the owner to secure ownership rights.

You agree Missy Lane’s has the perpetual right throughout the universe to use the Material in connection with promotion, advertising, marketing, distribution and sales activities relating to Missy Lane’s. This includes, but is not limited to websites and social media platforms.

You agree that Missy Lane’s shall have the unlimited rights that come with ownership, including the right to vary, change, alter, modify, add to, and/or delete portions of the Material.

You agree that all rights, licenses, and privileges granted to Missy Lane’s by you or your agent, representative, or guardian are irrevocable and not subject to rescission, restraint, or injunction under any circumstances.

You agree that nothing in this policy shall obligate Missy Lane’s to use any Material and that Missy Lane’s has the final and sole decision-making authority to determine the use of any Material. You agree that you shall have no right to review, view, or approve of the use of the Material.

You agree that you will comply with requirements and policies by performers directing the recording or non-recording of performers.

You agree that you shall not be entitled to any compensation for your appearance in the Material.

You agree that if you fail to comply with this policy or any other directive from Missy Lane’s staff, agents, employees, and performers; and performers’ staff, agents and employees regarding this policy, you may be ejected from the premises and/or banned from attending future events at Missy Lane’s.

You further agree to release Missy Lane’s from any liability resulting from your failure to follow this policy and any other directives relating to this policy.This policy is subject to change.
 

MISSY LANE’S ADA STATEMENT

Missy Lane’s does not discriminate on the basis of disability and seeks to provide accessible services and accommodations for all event attendees.

Missy Lane’s is in the process of incorporating Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA into its website.

Premises Accessibility
  • Entrance: There is an accessible entrance door from East Main Street to the building with a wide entry. There are no steps or abrupt level changes requiring the installation of a ramp at the entrance to the building.

  • Other Exits: The stairway for the rear exit meets accessibility requirements for stairways in a building with automatic sprinkler. All doors into Missy Lane Assembly Room have the required width for wheelchair users.

  • Stage: A ramp is available for access to the stage.

  • Showroom Seating: ADA seating is designated on the Etix.com seating map provided for each show. 

  •  Restrooms: The public restrooms comply with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) regulations and provide the following accessibility features:

    • Five (5) of the six (6) corridor bathrooms were designed and constructed for individuals with disabilities to approach, enter and exit. 

    • All plumbing fixtures (sinks and toilets) and accessories (grab bars, mirrors, soap dispensers, paper towels, trash cans and door handles) were installed, reviewed and approved in compliance with ADA Standards, by the City of Durham Building Inspection department effective August 2023.

  • Signage – All corridor signage inclusive of mechanical room, electrical room, bathrooms, janitorial closet, elevator and fire related signage were installed at ADA height and include braille.

  • Bar – Bar accessibility is provided via cocktail service at accessible tables in the front room.

 

Service Animals

Use of an ADA service animal requires no additional notice or conditions. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we accept service animals defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability. We do not allow emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals because they have not been trained to perform a specific job or task, and therefore do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

MISSY LANE’S ANTI-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Missy Lane’s prohibits unlawful discrimination in its establishment (including the genderless bathrooms) and in connection with any services provided through its relationships with vendors and contractors. Missy Lane’s believes that every person has the right to enjoy public accommodations in a non-discriminatory manner, and

 

Missy Lane’s requires that all of its professional relationships be free of discrimination, bias, and harassment and that they comply with all anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws. Missy Lane’s policy is to promote an environment that is also free from retaliation and supportive of equal employment and fair pay.

 

Missy Lane’s does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, marital status or genetic information, citizenship, or any other disposition or characteristic protected by law.

 

Applicability of Anti-Discrimination Policy

These policies apply to all persons using the premises of Missy Lane’s, including but not limited to vendors, agents, talent, applicants and employees, contractors and subcontractors, consultants, and customers, and any other parties as determined by Missy Lane’s or the applicable law.

Harassment and Sexual Harassment

Missy Lane’s prohibits harassment and sexual harassment. For purposes of this policy, sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature, submission to or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as the basis for employment and contracting decisions affecting such individual, sexual jokes, conversations about a person’s body, insulting or obscene comments, and inappropriate leering, whistling, and gesturing.

  • For purposes of this policy, harassment includes, but is not limited to the following:

    • Willfully, and on more than one occasion, engaging in hostile acts toward a person because of the person’s race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, marital status or genetic information, citizenship, or any other disposition or characteristic protected by law for the purpose of intimidating, threatening, or coercing the person.​

 

Genderless Restrooms

 

Missy Lane’s provides genderless ADA accessible restrooms for those visiting its premises.

Complaint Procedure

If you believe you have experienced a violation of Missy Lane’s Anti-Discrimination Policy, please contact Missy Lane’s at info@missylanes.com immediately. Include all relevant information, such as the name and contact information of the parties involved, the date of the occurrence, the alleged violations, and any other pertinent information. Missy Lane’s encourages you to report your concern in writing as soon as possible and in detail. Reported violations of policy are reviewed promptly.

 

During the review, Missy Lane’s will maintain confidentiality to the extent possible. However, since the review may include interviews with those involved, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. Depending on the findings, any resolution relating to the incident may also be deemed confidential, and resolution of the complaint could include a ban from premises by the party found in violation of these policies.

 

Limitation of Liability

 

Missy Lane’s decision to review, investigate, and resolve complaints and any actions relating to this process is not and shall not be used as any admission of guilt or liability on the part of Missy Lane’s. Any party agreeing to submit a complaint to Missy Lane’s understands and agrees that this process shall not be used as an admission of guilt or liability relating to any actions whatsoever by Missy Lane’s, our employees, or our contractors.

You further agree to release Missy Lane’s from any liability resulting from your failure to follow this policy and any other directives relating to this policy.

MISSY LANE’S PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION POLICY

 

Missy Lane’s does not provide on-site parking and is not responsible for attendees’ vehicles that are ticketed, fined and/or towed. Missy Lane’s encourages attendees to follow all parking laws and rules and to only park in designated parking areas.

Missy Lane’s is not responsible for damage to attendees’ vehicles /or theft from vehicles. Missy Lane’s is not responsible for vandalism, acts of God, weather or any damage done by a third party while parked, attempting to park, or attempting to leave Missy Lane’s. Missy Lane’s encourages attendees to remove valuables from vehicles and to properly secure vehicles.

 

Attendees agree that the use of a ticket or attendance at Missy Lane’s does not create an agreement or relationship with Missy Lane’s such that Missy Lane’s is responsible for an attendee’s vehicle or other transportation equipment.

Missy Lane’s is not responsible for any ride-sharing, taxi, or other transportation delivery service that may provide transportation service to or from Missy Lane’s.

Missy Lane’s is also not responsible for bicycles or other transportation services or equipment used to arrive at or depart from an event at Missy Lane’s, nor any other incidents relating to the use of bicycles or other transportation services or equipment used in connection with attending, departing, or otherwise engaging with an event at Missy Lane’s.

Attendees agree to release Missy Lane’s from any liability resulting from attendees’ failure to follow this policy and any other directives relating to this policy.

STATEMENT ABOUT OFFICIAL TICKETING PROVIDER/THIRD PARTY SITES

 

This is the official site for purchasing event tickets at Missy Lane’s Assembly Room. Purchasing tickets from any other seller or site runs a high risk of receiving fraudulent tickets or paying inflated prices. Missy Lane’s Assembly Room neither promotes nor endorses the use of any third-party ticketing agencies.

 

Your party’s name must be on our ticket list with a matching form of identification for admittance. Missy Lane’s reserves the right to deny admittance if the attendee’s identification does not match the name on the ticket.

 

Tickets for shows at Missy Lane’s are sold exclusively through missylanes.com, Missy Lane’s located at 310 E Main St. Suite 100, Durham NC during business hours or Etix.com. We DO NOT partner with third party sellers. We DO NOT accept tickets sold on the secondary market. We reserve the right to decline entry if you are not the original ticket buyer.

 

Missy Lane’s is not responsible for tickets purchased from third party vendors and is not able to honor, replace, or refund invalid tickets. Please purchase your tickets from only approved sources as stated above.
